Je suis né en Algerie en 1955 et suite a la guerre d'indépendance avec la France mes parents ont du comme beaucoup de Français s'expatrier sur la France en 1962. J'ai donc vécu et fait une partie de ma scolarité a Paris jusqu'en 1973, année a laquelle mes parents décident d'émigrer en Israel.
A Jerusalem je termine ma scolarité au lycée Français de Jerusalem, puis étudie la peinture et les arts plastics a l'Academie des arts de Jerusalem, ''Bezalel'', pendant trois ans, a la fin de mes études obtient un poste de professeur de dessin dans des écoles a Jerusalem et dans le Galil, région du nord d'Israel
Après mon mariage en 1978, nous nous installons avec ma femme dans le sud ouest de la France a Pau , ou je travaille comme dessinateur graphique dans une compagnie pétrolière, découvrant ainsi de nouvelles techniques. Dans cette région je découvrent de nouvelles couleurs et lumières qui vont influencer ma peinture.
En 1990 je publie a Jerusalem un ouvrage de dessin en noir et blanc et continue de travaille dans le monde graphique tout en continuant a peindre.
Différentes exposition privée a Jerusalem et Paris jusqu'en 1999, année ou je fais ma première exposition publique au centre culturel Français de Jerusalem, puis je voyage constamment en Paris et Jerusalem et travaille en parallèle avec la Gallérie Kidmat Dena de Monsieur Itzak Levy.

AU SUJET DE MA PEINTURE, JE TRAVAILLE ESSENTIELLEMENT SUR LA BASE DE 4 COULEURS, LE ROUGE, LE BLEU, LE JAUNE ET LE BLANC. A PARTIR DE CES COULEURS JE TRAVAILLE LES VARIATIONS MENANT A D'AUTRES COULEURS , MAIS RESPECTANT TOUJOURS MA GAMME DE DÉPART.
DE MON PASSAGE AU MONDE GRAPHIQUE JE CONSERVE LES TRAITS NOIRS POUR FRONTIÈRE ENTRE DEUX COULEURS COMME POUR LES VITRAUX.
LA PRÉDOMINANCE DU JAUNE EST UN CLIN D'OEIL A VAN-GOGH, QUE J'ADMIRE.
LE BLEU ET SES NUANCES REPRÉSENTE LE CIEL ET LA MER, L'IMMENSITÉ.
LE BLANC EST LA PURETÉ LE MARIAGE DE DEUX COULEURS PASSERA POUR MOI PAR LE BLANC.
LE ROUGE, LA SENSUALITÉ, LE FEU DU SOLEIL.

I was born in Algeria in 1955. In 1962, as a consequence of the war of 
independence with France, my parents, along with many other French people, were obliged to leave for France. I therefore lived and went to school in Paris until 1973, the year my parents decided to emigrate to Israel.
I finished my schooling at the Lycée Francais in Jerusalem, then studied the plastic arts for three years at the Bezalel Academy of Arts in Jerusalem. When I finished my studies I obtained the post of teacher of drawing in schools in Jerusalem and in Galil, a region in the north of Israel.
After my marriage in 1978 my wife and I went to live in Pau, in south-west France, where I worked as a graphic designer for a petroleum company, and so discovered new techniques. In that region of France I also discovered a new light and new colours which were to influence my painting.
In 1990 I published a book of black and white drawings in Jerusalem. I still work in the world of graphics while continuing at the same time to work at my painting. There have been several private exhibitions of my work in Jerusalem and Paris. In 1999 I had my first public exhibition at the French Cultural Centre in Jerusalem. I travel a good deal to Paris and Jerusalem and work in collaboration with the Kidmat Dena Gallery (Jerusalem) of Mr Isaac Levy.

On the subject of my painting, I work essentially on the basis of four colours, red, blue, yellow and white. Beginning with this range, I transform their combinations into other colours, but always respect my point of departure.
From the period I spent in the world of graphic design, I retain the inclination to use a black divide between two colours, as in stain-glass windows.
The predominance of yellow is an homage to Van Gogh, whom I admire.
Blue and its nuances represent the sky and the sea, immensity.
White is purity. For me, the marriage of two colours passes through white.
Red is sensuality, the sun’s fire.
